As per the Approvals Branch of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. "The companies/contractors who remove and transport waste from a Crime or Trauma Scene are required to obtain the ministry's approval of a Waste Management System."
Failure to comply can lead to fines ranging betwen $1,000.00 - $100,000.00+ per day.

As per the Approvals Branch of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks:
“In short, when waste is removed and transported from a Crime (Forensic) / Trauma / Drug Lab / Hoarding Scene, it is considered ‘Waste Management’ and as such the generated waste is designated as “Subject Waste” and the above criteria would apply.
The best and easiest way of understanding this, would be to only use a company for these types of activities that have an ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE of APPROVAL number, issued by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, as per Section 27 of the Ontario Environmental Protection Act.”
